Projects done in Undergraduate level
We created a digital guitar tuner that takes output from an acoustic guitar and helps the user tune it to “Standard E” tuning. The user interacts with the device by pushing buttons to select which string he or she is tuning. The user then plucks the string and the device displays if the string is too high frequency (sharp), too low frequency (flat), or within a minimum percentage of the desired value. We applied some of the Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and analog amplification principles we learned in some of our other classes. This project gave us the opportunity to test out these principles in a real-world design
2. Automatic railway gate control.
The purpose of this project is to design a simple system to control an unmanned railway gate over a level crossing. When there is an incoming train on the verge of arriving at the level crossing, an alarm will go on as well as turning the RED SIGNAL Lights on too. The gate/barrier will be automatically closed. The system will be restored to its initial condition (Alarm OFF, RED SIGNAL Lights OFF, Gate Open) after the train leaves the crossing. Here we have used two emergency cases. First, if a vehicle gets stuck on the rail-track after the gate is closed a signal will be sent to the train driver so that he could slow down/stop the train before the barrier. Secondly, if the gate fails to close in due time due to any error a alarm signal will also be sent to the train.
In our project, we developed a working algorithm to achieve this target and a simplified model is assembled to illustrate the operation and control.

3. Temperature and moisture measurement of a room and remote sensing.
In our daily life we need to control many appliances in our homes. For the control of the appliances we are accustomed to manual controls. But with the advent of modern technologies manual controlling is slowly being replaced by automatic controlling. To ease the usage of the home appliances such as fan, light, ac(air conditioner) we have made our project “SMART HOME APPLIANCE CONTROL”. Our product analyzes the condition of the room and control the room environment accordingly
